Surf and sail in the Maldives: the perfect central atolls trip

Many people consider the Maldives Islands to be among the best places to visit due to its gorgeous blue waters and excellent surfing. With over 1,000 coral islands (called atolls) and with scattered world-class breaks dotting the map, the maldives surf trip has become one of the more coveted surfing experiences today.

Surfatoll has been providing private and shared surf charters in the Maldives for over a decade and its fleet has been used by surfers of all different levels from weekend warriors to WSL pros like Michel Bourez.

We are excited to announce a new boat to our fleet; The Catamaran Leopard 38 (link).

The South African made sailing boat, renovated in 2015, is ideal for those wishing to sail across the magnificent Maldivian Atolls. Experienced sailors have the option of being their own skipper or renting the Leopard with a skipper as part of the crew. No matter your decision, sailing on the Leopard is sure to be a fun adventure.

The boat has three crew members; skipper, cook, and deckhand. The Leopard carries a minimum of four and a maximum of ten passengers. It comes equipped with four AC-fitted double bedrooms, making it the best option when traveling with a family or a small group of friends.

Sailing and surfing with the Leopard will cost $1,000 per night and includes the following:

  • All three crew members
  • Airport pickup and dropoff
  • Three daily meals along with coffee, tea, and water
  • … and the use of the variety of onboard equipment and facilities.
