Flight:
It's important to remember that Surfatoll's prices don't include the international flight. Therefore it's your duty to found a flight
to Male international airport (MLE). We provide on the right column some of the cheapest airlines flying there.
Booking process:
1) You chose your trip (on the next section)
2) You look for a flight
3) You contact us to get confirmation
4) Once you got it, you buy your flight
5) Surfatoll will take care of you from your first step on the maldivian floor
Material:
You won't find
any spare surfing gear in the Maldives, so bring all
the boards
you might need. However, a two board quiver is
sufficient,
with a short board and a semi-gun (6’8’’
to 7’2’’) for bigger days. It is very rare
that the surf exceeds 8 feet.
Bring booties to protect yourself from the reef
cuts, even
if most people surf without them. Indeed, the take
off zone
is usually deep enough and the reef flat and dead.
Wearing
a helmet is recommended for bigger days.
A wetsuit or a shorty is not necessary in this warm
and crystal-clear water. A rash guard or long sleeved T-shirt is highly
recommended for sun protection. Bring along plenty
of solar cream with high
SPF, this is highlly recommended as you are on the
equator.
Money:
Everything is included in our price except for the beers (3 USD) and the soft drinks (2 USD). We recommend having around 100 USD and a credit card for emergencies. Note that there is an ATM at the arrival next to the airport.
